Dear Scott,

I called America’s Pros to get an estimate on attic insulation. Our home was built in the early 1970s and is a quad style home. The insulation was the minimum installed when the home was built and our furnace would cycle about every 15 minutes to keep up with the heat loss.

Scott came out tot he house, checked the attic spaces and wanted our business. He gave us an exceptional price and we said “Let’s do it!”. The insulation was the top-of-the-line blown cellulose. 15 inches were added to the existing 11 or do which put the R-value at 60 or above. Nice!

The crew also built a green board wall between the garage attic space and the kitchen and the garage (with a little swing-out green board to access the space if needed) since it did not have to be insulated at this time. This way the temp remained more constant in the insulated attic space.

Our furnace now cycles maybe once every 1.5 to 2 hours. This is a huge benefit to my pocket book.

I am also looking at having insulation placed in the walls of the home since these are cold in the winter and I am sure do not have enough, or any, insulation in them. Scott, as of this letter, I have already contacted your for checking my walls for proper insulation.
